9 of 10: Green tea supports weight loss and prevents obesity.
As green tea has been found to increase the rate of metabolism, it can be used for weight loss programs. Studies have shown that the fat all over the body especially in the area of the abdomen can be reduced by having green tea. Abdominal fat, the circumference of the waist, the percentage of body fat and overall weight of the body have been found to decrease in a controlled experiment carried out for 12 weeks on 240 men and women. This fact may not hold true always because other studies have shown no significant decrease in body weight.
Conclusion: Green tea may reduce body fat especially the fat around the abdomen.
