Kid Friendly Recipes: French Toast Bites

French Toast Bites

Super crunchy and simple breakfast version of an age-old classic. These french toast bites are a great addition to any breakfast. Both kids and adults will love them!

The recipe below serves six but can easily be adjusted for more or less.


  • 1 loaf artisan style bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup low fat or skim milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp powdered sugar
  • Butter and Syrup to taste


  1. Cut bread into 1 inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl beat eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Add 2 cups of bread cubes and mix to saturate.
  3. Lightly butter a nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add cubes to hot pan and cook until golden brown.
  4. (optional) Once cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle powdered sugar for added flavor.
  5. Serve with a toothpick in each piece for easy dipping.
