Green tea can enhance the functions of your brain for short duration as well as keep your brain agile in your old age. Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases are the two most common conditions that cause the degeneration of the neurons in the brain. The former disease leads to dementia and the latter destroys the neurons which produce Dopamine in the brain.
Experiments done on animals and in test tubes has proven that the substances containing catechins in green tea can protect the neurons in the brain from degenerating and thus decreasing the chance of diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
Conclusion: Green tea reduces the risk of commonly neuro-degenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
