10 of 10: Green tea helps you live longer!
A study carried out for 11 years on 40,530 adults in Japan showed that those who drank 5 cups of green tea or more during each day could stay alive throughout the duration of the experiment.
A second experiment carried out in Japan for 6 years on 14,001 persons aged between 65 and 84 years found that 76 percent of those who drank a large amount of green tea had greater chances of survival during the time the trial lasted.
The results derived are:
- Death caused by various reasons is 12 percent less in men and 23 percent less in women.
- Death due to heart disease is 22 percent less in men and 31 percent less in women.
- Death due to heart-stroke is 35 percent less in men and 42 percent less in women.
Conclusion: Green tea has statistically shown that it provides numerous health benefits that help to a prolonged and happy life.
