Sugar is finally being brought into the negative spotlight it belongs in. Call me crazy; go ahead and think whatever your sugar-whipped brain desires. Or, you could heed my advice and browse your favorite internet search engines and see for yourself. The evidence is there, and quite distressing at that.
It is much easier to relate the word “harmful” to something every human being with half a brain knows is bad for you, ie cigarettes. Putting a tube of chemicals to your lips and then choosing to inhale a toxic smoke headlines the “stuff that’s bad for you” page.
However, recent research has added an alarming new substance to this list; and it’s one I can guarantee is sitting on your kitchen table right now:
SUGAR
The ever-changing food pyramid has brainwashed Americans time and time again. First grains should be your highest intake, then carbs are bad, then all fat is a no-no, then suddenly you should be a vegetarian, wait no! red meats okay. I mean come. on. It’s so hard to figure out what to eat and what to avoid with a serious amount of conflicting evidence for all of these health trends. One fact has pretty consistently remained the same though: too much sugar is going to make you fat.
