Super crunchy and simple breakfast version of an age-old classic. These french toast bites are a great addition to any breakfast. Both kids and adults will love them!
The recipe below serves six but can easily be adjusted for more or less.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf artisan style bread
- 6 eggs
- 1 cup low fat or skim milk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp powdered sugar
- Butter and Syrup to taste
Directions
- Cut bread into 1 inch cubes.
- In a bowl beat eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Add 2 cups of bread cubes and mix to saturate.
- Lightly butter a nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add cubes to hot pan and cook until golden brown.
- (optional) Once cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle powdered sugar for added flavor.
- Serve with a toothpick in each piece for easy dipping.
