5. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil contains antibiotic effects. In a double-blind placebo-controlled research conducted that involves 49 individuals with serious chronic gingivitis, a topical tea tree oil gel was applied in their gums. The 49 individuals were ordered to brush two times every day and then were evaluated after four and eight weeks. Those who used tea tree oil had a noteworthy reduction in bleeding and gingivitis. But, the use of tea tree oil didn’t lower down the amount of plaque. It is ideal to use the commercial tea tree toothpaste instead of the undiluted tea tree oil.
