The burpee is a popular exercise that can be incorporated into any workout routine. It is a great core cardio workout that is used by even the most hardcore athlete due to it’s ability to be a full body exercise. The benefits of a burpee are pretty incredible: they make you stronger, great for conditioning, portable as no equipment required, and you can add them to almost any workout.

To perform a burpee first stand up straight, then get into a squat position with your hands on the floor in front of you. Kick your feet back into a push up position and immediately drop your chest to the ground. Bring your chest up by performing  a pushup and quickly return your feet to a squat as fast as possible. Immediately jump into the air as high as you can with your hands straight up. Repeat the motion. Start out doing sets of 10, then try to increase the amount as you gain a comfort level.

These are only six ways to get that perfect posture and defined mid-section that you’ve been striving for all your life. It is always good to try and mix it up a bit by adding weights where possible and even changing the routine so that you will not become uninterested. Remember that above all, consistency and dedication is the key to success.
