Pass Up that Pizza
You should pass up on that pizza, the same with mac and cheese, fried chicken and burgers. According to a British study, those who ate a high-fat lunch are prone to being sleepy in the afternoon as compared to those who had a leaner meal. The group of volunteers who are on the high-fat diet has shown to have slower and less alert on attention tests. Fat triggers the discharge of a digestive hormone that rouses a brain slump known as postprandial somnolence. If you want to be energized in the afternoon, make sure that your lunch has a whole grain, lean protein and a vegetable or fruit.
