Have a Wiser Caffeine Strategy

According to a sleep specialist from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, James K. Wyatt, Ph.D., a great way to stop that dreaded afternoon droop is to take 2 ounces of coffee which is equivalent to 6-8 sips each hour starting from mid-morning until early afternoon. He said that caffeine helps in blocking adenosine, which is a sleep-inducing brain chemical that builds up the whole day. He also believed that the effects of caffeine will wear off if you drink coffee early in the morning and stop early in the afternoon. He noted that the half-life of caffeine is about 3 to 7 hours and that drinking coffee in a later part of the day will upset your to sleep at night.
